Support the work of Lutheran Volunteer Corps (LVC) in honor of its 40th Anniversary! LVC places Volunteers in full-time positions at social justice organizations. LVC also provides programming and facilitates dialogue around oppression, racism, and privilege, while encouraging Volunteers to live simply and sustainably and explore spirituality and vocation in the context of intentional community.
Luther Place is LVC’s founding congregation. Promote LVC’s resilience during a financially challenging time for service year organizations nationally due to the inverse relationship between the strength of the economy and interest in volunteer service. Donations of $4, $40, $400, or $4,000 are encouraged to sustain and enhance LVC’s ability to provide a transformative year for Volunteers and the organizations and communities they serve. Please donate directly on LVC’s website, or alternatively write a check payable to Lutheran Volunteer Corps and mail it to “Lutheran Volunteer Corps, 1226 Vermont Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20005.
