Volunteering at NSV

There are many opportunities to volunteer at N Street Village.  N Street Village has about 30 staff and over 200 volunteers at any given time!  Without the help of volunteers, N Street would not be capable of offering so many services.  Here are some of the ways volunteers from Luther Place are involved:

  • serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Bethany Women's Center
  • staying overnight in the Luther Place Night Shelter
  • teaching music, crocheting, or other classes in the Wellness Center
  • leading a monthly game night for the ladies of the Night Shelter
  • getting the kids involved through educational opportunities with the Steinbruck Center and hands-on volunteering with N Street
  • volunteering in the computer lab through the Education and Employment Center
If have any questions about getting more involved with N Street Village, please contact the Amanda Weber at the church office, (202) 667-1377.

If you are ready to volunteer, please fill out the Volunteer Information Sheet and submit the form to Kate Akalonu, manager of volunteers and in-kind donations at N Street Village.  Kate will then inform you of upcoming dates for volunteer orientations before you get started at N Street.  All are welcome to explore service connected to faith!
